All of our adults/teenager programs run throughout the year including during school holidays. Classes do not run on public holidays.

Yes, absolutely. All of our adult/teenager programs are for 12 years and up. Usually this means there are a mix of ages in each class. Training with your teenager can be a rewarding experience. Unlike other sports where there are seperate teams, at Action Tae Kwon-Do you’re welcome to jump in and take part too. Why not?

No. We do not do spectating for these programs. We like our students to have full focus on their Instructor as well as feel comfortable in making mistakes without the added pressure of others watching. Parents, carers and guardians can watch the first 5-10 minutes of the first lesson if they like but after that it’s a drop-off/pick-up. Better yet all parents, carers and guardians are welcome to train in our adult/teenager programs!

The time it takes to get to black belt depends on each student. Some students will train almost every night and practice regularly so would achieve the rank of black belt sooner. Some students will take things slower and therefore it would take longer to achieve black belt. Roughly 2.5-4 years is a rough estimate. Let’s see how long you take.

We offer our students the opportunity to participate in up to four gradings a year. Gradings are an opportunity for a student to be tested on their skills and if successful pass to a new rank. Gradings are also a great opportunity for family and friends to attend and see the progress of the student.

Yes. In our adult/teenager program contact is involved. This takes place slowly over time and not straight away. Students will learn the blocks and stances first before taking part in any sparring. Instructors will help students feel comfortable before taking part in this.

We have multiple days and times all over Canberra, Queanbeyan and Jerrabomberra for adults/teenagers. These programs are held in the evenings on weekdays and on Saturday mornings. You can view our days and times by clicking on the button below or here.
