Action Tae Kwon-Do Instructors
As the Chief Instructor I am very pleased to present to you your 2023 Instructors of Action Tae Kwon-Do.
The Instructors continue to be tirelessly committed to you, their art and their school Action Tae Kwon-Do.
Be it teaching a new student a front kick, instilling confidence, helping young students in correcting their behaviour and in turn learning from it, encouraging and guiding personal growth or even just watching their student pass to black belt after years of Instruction and hard work – the role that the Instructors play is huge.
To those reading I hope one day I’ll be adding your name to this exclusive list and you too will be a part of this elite circle. In our school it’s one thing to reach the rank of black belt but a greater, harder achievement to reach the rank of Instructor.

The Rank of Instructor
Obtaining and holding the rank of Instructor is challenging but an extremely rewarding and fulfilling experience found nowhere else. Rubbing shoulders with and being a part of the Instructor ranks takes your Tae Kwon-Do skills and pushes them through the roof.
The Instructors have many, many years of teaching experience. The Head and Senior Instructors each have over 10 years minimum followed on by the junior Instructors who have anywhere from 1 to 5 years of experience.
The length of time teaching doesn’t include their time training before obtaining the rank of Instructor. You could easily add on another 10 years of training prior to teaching to many if not all of the Instructors.
All of these years combined including the Chief Instructor means Action Tae Kwon-Do has over 100 years of combined teaching experience.
Imagine being a part of that and what you might learn. Perhaps not just the physical skills but maybe even some incredibly valuable lifelong lessons.
So, what are you waiting for?
Are you a red belt, black belt or even just starting out? You should be considering the assistant Instructor’s program. Yes, you need to work towards your black belt but there’s no reason why you can’t start entertaining the idea, speaking to your Instructor or better yet me the Chief Instructor.
You can read about the path to Instructor here.
There are often a lot of misconceptions about martial arts, Tae Kwon-Do or in this case teaching with Action Tae Kwon-Do. You don’t suddenly need to commit 38 years like it’s a full time job. Realistically it’s no different to the time you already spend training each week.
All of the Instructors hold full time jobs, study full time or a combination of the two. They continue to have social lives, plenty of time for other interests and like myself found that once they started teaching, they figured out how to do more in their lives.
If you’re successful you’ll start teaching, training and leading your own students, gain huge amounts of confidence and skills for the workplace and life and also, greatly improve your own Tae Kwon-Do skills.
There will be things you’ll learn you won’t find anywhere else.
So, like above what are you waiting for? The year is just starting now. What are your goals? Challenge yourself and be rewarded. Your life now is a reflection of the efforts you put in over the last year. In a year from now what will you have achieved? Will you have improved your Tae Kwon-Do skills, gained a new rank or perhaps even joined the Instructor ranks?
Let’s see how you go.
